Claus Reichel

Claus studied Latin American Studies and worked as unit and production manager for international cinema projects. For producing "Oray" he was awarded with Best First Feature Award at Berlinale 2019. Together with his partner Mehmet Akif Büyükatalay he runs the company filmfaust in Cologne/Germany. filmfaust develops, produces and co-produces European cinema with the highest artistic standards for the national and international festival, cinema, TV and VoD market. filmfaust cooperates with a network of creative people, editorial offices, public funding institutions and international production and distribution partners. Claus Reichel is alumnus of Rotterdam producers lab (2020), Berlinale Talents (2020) and Mediengründerzentrum NRW (2020). In 2022 the documentary "Love, Deutschmarks and Death" premiered at the 72nd Berlinale Film Festival.
