New York native, Dwight Dean Mahabir, began his acting career at the age of nine, training with the Stella Adler Acting Studio in Manhattan, and studying voice with Dino Anagnost, director of the Orpheum Chorale at the Lincoln Center of Performing Arts. Theatre credits include: "The Me Nobody Knows" (William), Chicago cast, "Oklahoma!" (Curly), "Finian's Rainbow" (Woody), "Anything Goes" (Sir Evelyn), "Jesus Christ Superstar" (Pilate), "Big River" (Jim) , "Blues in the Night" (The man), "The marriage of Figaro" (Antonio), "Ragtime" (Coalhouse Walker Jr.), "Scrooge" (Scrooge), "Man of La Mancha" (Don Quixote/ Miguel de Cervantes), "Phantom" (Gerard Carriere), "Paint your Wagon" (Steve Bullnack), "The Full Monty" (Horse), "Amahl the Night Visitors" (Page), and "Macbeth" (Duncan/ Doctor). His successful role of the King of Siam in "The King and I" allowed him the opportunity to perform the role with three different theaters.
