Nalini was born in Edinburgh and studied Drama at Bristol University and The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Between 2011 and 2016 she played series regular Zinnie Hassoun in BBC drama River City. As a writer she has written for BBC Scotland, CBeebies, C4 and Radio 4. Nalini lives near Glasgow and has two children.
