John Michael Wilyat was born and raised in South Florida. After graduating from high school, he went on to study architectural design and began a career as an illustrator and filmmaker for architectural projects. His first short film Firefly and the Coffee Machine (2012) was released in 2012 and selected for academy qualifying screenings across the US. He is a director, writer and cinematographer, amongst other areas of expertise.
