Julie Elias is a multi-faceted singer, songwriter, actress and speaker who is based just outside of Dallas, Texas. Born in the San Francisco bay area and growing up in Northern Nevada, Julie's passion for performance developed at an older age than most other young women, not until she was in college. Majoring in History and Musical Theater at the University of Colorado, Julie then moved to Los Angeles to pursue those dreams. Various roles in theatre, student and short films followed with appearances as a recurring background artist on shows like "Grey's Anatomy," "Community" and "CSI:NY" but Julie didn't feel like acting alone was her niche; music was always beckoning. A fortuitous Christmas season singing at her home church brought her to the attention of multiple people in the Christian music industry, including Dove-award winning producer Robert White Johnson, who would then produce her debut album, "A Wild Rose" and her Christmas album, "Holy Night." Growing up in the church, Julie has always thought Christian singers were unattainably "perfect" and better than everyone else - and that was not the case and Julie's transparency and humility connected her with audiences, especially teen girls. With her focus now on empowering teenage girls, Julie self-produced her next two albums: "Love Rain Down," a contemporary worship album and "Unbroken," a mostly original album. Her song "Home" from that album was #1 for multiple weeks in 2015 on Christian Radio Charts. Julie also launched her conferences for teen girls in 2015, called the Aurora Conference, of which Julie was one of the artists and speakers. Asked many times about possibly returning to acting, Julie says, "I am so busy these days that the time needed to cultivate what I need to for acting is really limited. But I would love to have the opportunity again...never say never."
