Suzanna Cardash was born and raised in London and is now based in Bath, UK. She's worked as an actor and advertising copywriter, and is now forging a career as a playwright and screenwriter. Her first plays - adapted from children's novels - were performed by a cast of other eight-year-olds in the garden. Later, she obtained a BA (Hons) in Theology and Philosophy from the University of Kent, in the UK, then worked as an actor/writer in a Welsh touring theatre company where she devised scripts as well as performing in them. Suzanna describes her acting career as unremarkable, though likes to think this was due to lacking connections, not talent. Although she had a starring role in a pop video, much of her work has been in TIE and corporate information films. On the plus side, she was also in four episodes of Doctor Who, where she spent most of her time chanting in a blue-haired girl gang. This still seems to excite people. In 2018, Suzanna embarked on an MA in Scriptwriting course at Bath Spa University. Her first theatre piece was a full-length, gender-neutral tragicomedy for adults, 'Caged Bird'. Her first screenplay, 'Voyeuse', won 'Best Screenplay for a Pilot' at the Olympus Film Festival in 2019. Peripheral stuff? Suzanna has published a contentious fact-based novel under a pseudonym and edited non-fiction books for other people. Additionally, she writes short and longform blank and rhyming verse in strict metre, and has won several poetry competitions, various silver cups, a bit of cash and three international flights.
