Ali Mearza

Mr Ali Mearza is a World renowned consultant ophthalmic surgeon. He is the clinical director of ophthalmology at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and his specialist interests are in cornea, cataract and laser eye surgery. He is also the clinical director and founder of Vision Correction London, a company specialising in reducing dependence on glasses by either laser eye surgery or lens based surgical techniques. His work has been featured on television, in widely published journals as well as in the mainstream press. His You Tube Channel has over 200 000 views worldwide. He is often asked to provide expert opinion on eye related topics and has been featured on a number of television shows including the Discovery channel. He has over 40 publications to his name and has presented at numerous National and International meetings and conferences. He has a keen interest in charitable eye work and has been to various countries including Ghana, Bangladesh, Burma, Madagascar, Bali and India treating patients affected by cataracts.
