Elijah Slack was born in Saint Louis, Missouri to James and Ruth Ann Smith, where he lived for 13 years until he moved to Clarksville, Missouri. Three years later, he moved to Monroe City, Missouri, where he joined the Marine Corps, and is currently (as of January, 2011) serving a 4 year enlistment in Twentynine Palms, California. In the summer of 2008, he was involved in a summer film project, called "The Disk: Code Zero," directed by New York University of Film student, Jeremy Cropf.
