André Miranda is a composer born in Lisbon, Portugal. He has been an awarded for one of his works in 2009 by the International Composition Competition od Portimão, Portugal (Honorful Mention). His works have been played by several high-profile orchestras and personalities both in Portugal and in the US, despite his young age. Among them are the Gulbenkian Orchestra and The New York Philarmonic (part of it at the 2010 ASCAP/NYU film scoring workshop in memory of Buddy Baker in New York City.) As the year of 2010 began with the premiere of "The Yellow Story" at Casa da Música (Oporto) and the work made at New York in "Bruce Almighty" at the 2010 ASCAP/NYU film scoring workshop in memory of Buddy Baker, the demand for André Miranda's music has been increasing. The largest demand has consistently arrived from the entertainment and software industry.
