Katherine Collett was born and raised in the small community of Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada. She absolutely loved to be in the spotlight. Since the age of 3, Katherine was an active member of a local dance studio, DanceWorks which is now known as Studio Dance Arts. Throughout the years she continued to learn and grow as an independent dancer and choreographer. At the age of 16 Katherine travelled to Toronto to receive her teacher's certification in Jazz dance with CDTA (Canadian Dance Teachers Association) Not only has Katherine exceled in the art of dance, she also exceled in theatre. She was involved in many local amateur theatre plays but is well known for playing the part of "Dorothy" in the 2005 Wizard of Oz production. A lot like her late father (Al Collett) she has always had a passion for the arts. A few years later she travelled onto a Post-Secondary Education at Canadore College in the Theatre Arts Program. The same program in which her father graduated from years before her time. During her time spent at Canada College she landed herself a lead role in the 2011 television Series "Dark Rising: The Savage Tales of Summer Vale". Katherine has ventured off to the West side of Canada but only to return to her small community that she loves dearly. During her time spent in Alberta, she worked with Miss Julie Dionne the president of CDTA in Alberta. While working at Miss Julie's studio (JD's Fabulous Feet) she found a true passion for teaching Hip-hop & Musical Theatre. Since her return from the West side, Kate has continued to teach dance along the side of her full-time job and raising two children. She hopes to continue in the television industry, work and grow as an artist.
