Denise A. Ryan

Denise was born and raised in Beautiful Vancouver, Canada. Growing up, she was involved in many activities such as music, sports, and dance. At the age of 8, she took up piano, and was part of a singing group. She played the piano for 3 years. When she was in grade 8, she was curious about Acting, yet incredibly shy. She did however enroll into Choir, as she has always loved to sing. That curiosity never went away. She faced her fear, enrolled into Acting in grade 12, and fell in love. She felt that Acting woke up her soul, and allowed her to explore different ways of expression. She loves studying human behavior, and loves affecting people in the audience. After graduating from High School, Denise had planned on attending the UBC Theatre Program. However she became intensely interested in Film making, and attended the Vancouver Film School Acting Program. She wanted to continue learning her craft of Acting, and continued to take various acting classes. In 2006 she was in need of a change, and dropped all that she knew, and moved to Toronto, to pursue her Acting Career. Her time spent in Toronto had its ups and downs, yet she was happy to be auditioning and showing her work. She decided to move back to Vancouver, for many different reasons. Denise has a strong passion for Acting, and is married to the craft forever. She recently has started playing the piano again. She continues to this day to take Acting classes, as she knows there is always room for improvement and growth. While auditioning for Professional TV/Film productions, she is also getting involved in the Independent Film scene in Vancouver. She will never forget her roots, and wants to be a part of the Theatre scene. It is her dream to inspire people, affect them in a positive way, make her family and friends proud, and gain respect from fellow artists!
