Tim Gauntt

Tim was born in Maple Shade, NJ, the second of four to Diane and Timothy Gauntt Sr. Growing up, he excelled in academics and athletics and it was not until after high school and college that he began acting. Leaving Widener University and it's football team after only one year, Tim took up blue collar work at Verizon followed by joining the Philadelphia Carpenters' Union to support himself as he began taking film acting classes under Chris Kadish at The Philadelphia Acting Studio. He moved to New York when he was offered a full scholarship to the prestigious Stella Adler Studio of Acting, where he developed a passion for stage to go along with his love of film. Here, he studied under famed film acting teacher Ron Burrus, among many other teachers, and his studio credits include Brick(Cat on a Hot Tin Roof), Hal(Picnic), Curt(Blue Surge), and Teach(American Buffalo). While still attending Stella, he was cast as one of the leads in Columbia University's Black Theatre Ensemble production of Bulrusher, for which he obtained positive reviews. He has been cast in films and television series' set to release in 2015.
