Georgi Tenev is a Bulgarian writer, screenwriter, director and producer. He is an author of prose, poetry and drama. He was born in 1969 in Sofia. He is a son of Tenjo Tenev and Bozhanka Konstantinova, descendant of the poet Nikolai Liliev and the literary historian George Konstantinov . He graduated National School for Ancient Languages and Culture "Cyril - Constantine Philosopher " and Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ". In 1994 he was one of the graduates in the experimental class of Professor Margarita Mladenova and Professor Ivan Dobchev in Natonal Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria. He was elected by the Bulgarian winner of the Herder Prize Konstantin Iliev and continued his studies at the University of Vienna in 1996/97. He was a playwright of Theater Workshop "Sfumato" (1997-1999) and Assistant Professor at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art (1997-2002). He is a co-founder of Triumvirates Art Group (1994), together with the director Yavor Gardev and the stage designer Nikola Toromanov. His texts have been staged in Germany (Leipzig, 1998), France (Paris, 2004; Nancy 2003), Russia (St. Petersburg, 2004). He is an author and host of TV show "Library" on Bulgarian National Television. He is a producer of the show "Aero: Cinema and Books" on TV Re: TV.
