Mary McBain

Mary is a comedian, screenwriter, producer and a voice for female empowerment in the film and TV industry. A UK native, Mary splits her time commuting between London and Los Angeles, working on a wide variety of projects and in myriad roles owing to her versatility and ability to connect with crew and audiences alike. Following the recent success of 'Spaghetti' - which handles the sensitive topic of sexual consent in the 21st century, focusing on empowering both sides of the conversation - Mary is working to change the face of sex education in schools through film. Penned, produced and starring Mary, 'Spaghetti' was made by an all-female shooting crew of 23 women. 'Spaghetti' was screened at BAFTA, London and is currently being served on all Virgin Aircraft. Mary studied at a top New York Conservatory where she completed a 2 year program, focusing primarily on Film and Television. Mary has since worked in Commercial, Off Broadway Theatre, Voice Over, Short and Feature film and in numerous webseries. Mary has a documentary in development with JAM Creative Consultancy; filming in Amman, the UK and the US has commenced. Mary is also shopping two feature films. Mary writes, produces and has also directed for theatre and film. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA.
