Actor and voice-over artist Melissa O'Brien started her career in radio by first interning for Detroit radio legend, Dick Purtan and then working in all departments, on-air and off, at a Michigan station for 10 years. Her radio experience led her to pursue a successful voice over career, which later led to becoming an actor. Besides her film and commercial work, she has produced short films and a TV pilot and wrote a screenplay which was produced for a local competition. Over the years, Melissa has been a singer and keyboard player with a local band, continued her dance training and volunteered as a reader for Recording for the Blind, an adoption speaker for CSS, a tutor for Michigan Literacy Partners and delivering for Meals on Wheels. She is currently a crisis counselor for Crisis Text Line.
