At the age of seven Jasper's parents enrolled him in classes at Circus Juventas, a Minnesota based youth circus arts organization teaching Cirque du Soleil style circus arts. The early years were all theater focused with an emphasis on Circus Arts. With over 10 years of training with the organization Jasper has sampled or focused on many different acrobatic skills. For the 2012 production Showdown he is focusing on Wall Trampoline, Russian Swing, Tumbling and Circus Theater. Because physical performance was so obviously one of his strengths, in 2007 he jumped at the opportunity to learn movie stunts with Jason Hilton. This evolved into three years of movie-stunts training including high falls, ratchets, stage fights, stair falls, minor car hits and wire work. Jasper has over 1,000 high falls with heights up to 25 feet. His connection to Jason led to his first film role in the 2010 production of Memorial Day. Knowing that theater and performance were where he wanted to go, Jasper enrolled in the St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists, a high school focused on performing arts in St. Paul Minnesota. This provided more formal studies in theater, dance, and vocal skills. Every year Jasper has been involved in multiple student or faculty organized productions. Film emerged as a passion during his first role as a young German soldier on Memorial Day. His first week on set was made up of long days in the humid, 95+ degree heat of a Minnesota summer. Jasper's wardrobe was the wool uniform of a German soldier. Despite the discomfort of his first week on the set of a feature film Jasper wanted to do more film projects. The next six months were spent talking to, and working with people in the film community which soon led to opportunities in local independent films, and eventually to working with Doug Jones, Tony Todd and Gary Graham in the role of Little Wyatt on the feature film Dust of War.
