Chris Cox is a mind reader who can't read minds, not only that but according to The Guardian he is 'one of the most exciting entertainers in Britain' , Time Out thinks, 'he does tricks that would make Jesus proud... Loveable, geeky & deceptively talented,' they're not alone, The Times think he's 'stunning' and 'leaves other magicians scratching their heads.' Chris agrees with all these things but also likes to think he's far to modest to make them the first things people read about him. He is a unique force when it comes to mind-reading entertainment. Chris already has a string of accolades under his belt including 4 Edinburgh Fringe shows, 2 UK Tours, 3 West End Shows, an extended & sell out run at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival, a bloody big heap of 4 and 5 star reviews, 2 Edinburgh Fringe Awards, 2007/08/09 sell out shows, must see show listings and numerous TV and Radio appearances. All that and he's still in his early 20s. Phew! What a busy boy. The self proclaimed mind reader who can't read minds is an accomplished and much loved performer, using a mongrel hybrid mix of witty chit chat, magic, psychology, body language, influencing, devilish good looks... and lying, to make you think he knows what your thinking, despite never knowing what you are thinking, or being able to really do anything he says. All this helps him to produce a highly-entertaining and very funny cutting edge show that'll make you say the wow word. Chris became interested in magic at the age of six, when he received a Paul Daniels Magic Set as a gift, after a wasted childhood playing with tricks, he's finally used what he learnt to his advantage to trick and deceive and make himself seem cooler than he actually is,. He's popped up doing tricks on Radio 1, has been on your screens on The Mentalist Revealed (C5) and Dick & Dom's Funny Business (BBC 2), not only that but he's also part of the Bafta nominated team as the man who brought magic to bbc.co.uk's Merlin. You also might have seen Chris along side Frank Skinner in his Credit Crunch Cabaret at the 1000 seater Lyric Theatre in the West End or performing in front of 2500 people in the theatre and hundreds of thousands at home on TV3 in New Zealand. But the latter is only likely if you were in New Zealand at the time. Ricky Gervais said Chris is, 'Brilliant, he'll blow your mind' and he is never wrong. Other celebrity fans of Cox include Dannii Minogue, Kelly Osbourne, Agyness Deyn and Tim Minchin. In the Spring of 2010 Star magazine had a list of what's hot. Chris came in at number 2, above Gossip Girl but behind Diet Coke. However Chris doesn't like to talk about it... And thinks Pepsi is better anyway. Chris is currently developing several mind-reading projects for TV in the US and the UK while still focusing on his critically acclaimed live work.
