As Bailey is best known today for his pioneering work in the field of Real-Time VFX and Virtual Production. An early adopter of real-time pre-visualization and in-camera VFX, using tracked cameras, motion-capture, simulcams and LED stages, Bailey was one of the first filmmakers to embrace real-time technology on-set, and today Bailey is regarded as an industry leading Virtual Production Supervisor, Director and Executive Producer. Bailey is in high-demand worldwide, either working on productions or building virtual production studios and solutions, he has delivered workshops for the Directors Guild of America and at MIPS, Bailey sits on the board of Advisers of both the DAVE VFX School at Universal Studios and the Studio UK Working Group. In 2020, Bailey served as Virtual Production Supervisor and 2nd Unit Director on Ian Livingstone's Deathtrap Dungeon. Since completing his first feature film in 2017, Bailey moved into virtual production and lensed many projects, demos and developments working with VP technology companies including Ncam, Unity, Vicon, ARRI and Unreal Engine and Nvidia. Also, in 2020 Bailey directed a global TV campaign for GSK using his own virtual studios and remote cloud production methods, orchestrating crew and clients from all over the world to shoot remotely at a COVID-19 secure sound stage in Europe. Bailey moved into virtual production after shooting his first micro-budget feature film 'Duty of Care', a very British drama made by Bailey and a small group of community filmmakers, the film went on to win awards festivals, and it received the praise Ken Loach, who said: "I'm delighted Bruce and Jack play with great sincerity." 'Duty of Care' opened the 1st Coastline Film Festival in 2015 and took the best actor award for Bruce Jones, and Film of Merrit Award at the North Wales International Film Festival in 2016. Before making his own low budget British drama, Bailey directed Jackie Chan in 'The Unbelievable' a multi-million dollar brand short film, that was shot in LA and Hong Kong. 20 years in content production, Bailey has consistently been recognized for his high-value, highly efficient approach to media production, and for his ongoing contribution to real-time virtual production. Bailey is routinely hired by Studios, Producers and Directors worldwide, as a consultant and supervisor to design, install, and operate, robust virtual production systems, both on-set, on-location and cloud based. In this capacity Bailey has worked with Netflix, DreamWorks, UNBC Universal, Universal Pictures, Unity, and the ARRI Solutions Groups, among many others.
