After graduating from Northwestern University, Ronny Jay - aka Ron Cohen - built a recording studio and media production company in Chicago where he created and produced TV commercials and Corporate Videos for numerous companies including Coke, United Airlines, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Sears and Budweiser. He began his Hollywood career writing and producing promos for Star Trek The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine which led to numerous other shows including Tales From The Crypt, Psi Factor, Robocop, VIP and High Tide to name a few. He was Creative Director at Another Large Production where he wrote and directed launch campaigns for Sheena, Battle Dome, Judge Hatchett, Men are From Mars/Women are from Venus, FX, Dr. Joy Brown and The Martin Short Show. He was then tapped to open a TV Division for Trailer Park where he served as VP Creative Director doing projects for Paramount, Nickelodeon, Lions Gate, CBS and FOX. Later he joined Pongo Productions as VP Creative Director working on promotion for Warner Brothers, FOX, ABC Family, The WB, DIC Entertainment and Mattel. He free-lances now as a Writer, Director, Producer and Editor and enjoys a reputation as one of the industry's most versatile filmmakers. His screenplays - "The Brothers Sinclair" and "NearFall"- have won multiple national and international film festival awards.
