Oliver Wellington is a British actor of television and film. Oliver Michael Wellington was born May 17th in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, England. Wellington trained at the prestigious Oxford School of Drama graduating with a diploma in acting. Since graduating he has worked consistently in television. Oliver plays Nico in brand new hit Sky comedy Rosie Molloy Gives Up Everything alongside Sheridan Smith. He made his television debut, in 2015, as a guest lead in an episode of continuing British medical soap opera Doctors. In February 2016 he appeared as trawler-man, Jack Marshbrook, in an episode (The Sea Glass) of British crime drama series Vera on ITV, based on novels of the same name, written by crime writer Ann Cleeves. In the same month he also appeared in the BBC One Mockumentary series Hospital People, set in the fictional Brimlington Hospital in which the show creator, Tom Binns, plays four different characters. He featured as recurring character, Gary, in a pilot episode that was shown on BBC One in February 2016. He would later reprise this role in the series that was commissioned and then broadcast in 2017. Later that year, Wellington joined the cast of The Dumping Ground on CBBC where he plays the role of Sam, a young trainee social worker. As of 2019, he joined the second series of ITV2 comedy Timewasters as series regular, JJ, the onscreen son of Anna Chancellor and Kadiff Kirwan's characters. Wellington made his film debut as, Ricardo, in British feature, Fisherman's Friends starring Daniel Mays and James Purefoy. In 2019 Oliver joined the cast of Brassic (Season 2) starring Joe Gilgun and Michelle Keegan, due for release in 2020. He also appears as Robbie in famous comedy duo David Mitchell and Robert Webb's six-part sitcom Back.
