Pinar Karaaslan (1985) is a Turkish-Swedish actress, writer and artist. She started acting as a child actor in her hometown of Adana, Turkey and later worked as an actress in European stage and film productions. She currently lives in Amsterdam. Pinar is best known for her performances in The Lens Flair (2022), The Pendant (2020) (2020) and Lost (2019) (2019). In 2021, she received her first "Best Actress nomination" at Guara del Ouro Film Festival in Brazil with her role in "Lost (2019)". In addition, the lead role she played in the upcoming politically critical "Strong & Unbending" (2022) is also promising to make some noise. Pinar studied Method Acting with acclaimed ActorsStudio teachers Andre Landzaat and Michael Margotta and took Meisner Technique classes with Steven Ditmyer. She has been training with Romy Irene on Chubbuck Technique since the beginning of 2022 and attending workshops and training throughout Europe. She speaks three languages fluently; Turkish, Swedish, and English. She is conversant in Dutch and can act in German and French once scripted. She has a talent for accents and quickly picks up new languages. Pinar worked with and was praised by award-winning directors like Marco Grandia, Willem Gerritsen, and Emma Branderhorst. She connects most with Drama and Sci-Fi despite enjoying creating characters for a broader range of genres. She wants to act in productions in the US, Germany, the UK and France, and her home countries, Turkey and Sweden. Pinar is represented by Andre Sjouerman at AskMyAgent, in The Netherlands and Yunus Emre Sökmen at Sökmen Talent Management in Turkey.
