Wade Graham is a writer, historian, and landscape designer, living in Los Angeles, California. He works at the confluence of environment, history, landscape, urbanism, art, and politics. He has published several books, and many articles, in The New Yorker, Harper's, The Los Angeles Times, Outside, and other publications. Since 1999, he has had a landscape design practice, making gardens throughout Southern California, as well as in Hawaii, New York, Florida, and Baja California, Mexico. Since 2009, he has been adjunct professor of public policy at Pepperdine University, teaching urban and environmental policy.
