LaShawn Vanhook

Gifted and sensational, LaShawn Van Hook's been felt on stages across Dallas. LaShawn is a native of Chicago, Illinois. She is the single mother of (2) daughter Kiera and son Tre both of Dallas, Tx where she now resides. LaShawn moved to Texas from Arkansas (1991) where she attended a Business Secretarial School receiving her Legal Administrative Certification while breaking school records. She went on to work for a few divorce lawyers in the DFW area and continues to help periodically. LaShawn first appeared on stage (2004) "I just want your man" a stage play by Margaret Borrows. She continued over the years (2004-2015) as leading lady and supporting actress in productions throughout Dallas. Most recently (2018) with Outburst Entertainment stage play "Time Out" & "The Feel Good Gospel Play". LaShawn is an Actress, Producer and Director of Dark Anjewel Productions (2019 - present) as well as her previous entity ShonDanz Entertainment (2002-2016). She has expanded her repertoire to film acting including several short films and feature films. She made her debut in films (2001) "Sideline Confessions". Her most recent (2020) as Producer & 1st AD in "A Familiar Lie" with One Shot films out of LA, now streaming on Amazon Prime and Tubi TV. LaShawn's company Dark Anjewel Productions has worked as Producer/1st AD and silent partner on a few projects throughout Texas, Los Angeles and Chicago area. She is looking forward to working on Emmy Award winning screenplays in her near future. Her favorite quote is "Greater is HE that is in YOU, than he that is in the world"
