Deann Powell

Deann Powell was born in Amarillo, Texas to William Robert and Barbara Jean (Kimbrough) Dickson. Her father was an airline pilot, so she moved several times. Her family finally settled for the country life near Alvord, Texas when she was about 11 years old. She grew up riding horses and tending to the family ranch with her brother and sister. Deann attended a small rural school, where she had the opportunity to act in a few plays and run track. Today Deann still enjoys riding horses and running. She competes in 5k, 10k, and Mud Run races. In January 2011, she ran her first half marathon and plans to run some more and eventually run a full marathon.
