Ruth Reid

Ruth was born and raised in Australia to British parents. Her passion for the arts began at an early age when she and sister Rachel would write and perform their own plays for family and friends. In her teens Ruth studied screen acting at various institutes in Australia and attended a performing arts school in New South Wales, specializing in script writing and drama. In her mid teens she wrote her first short film, which she proceeded to film with friends and also wrote her first play; workshopped and performed by students at her high school. With a handycam given to her for her birthday always in her hand, Ruth began to make short films for school projects and for fun. In 2007 Ruth and Rachel co-wrote their first feature film screenplay with several other projects to follow as they relocated to London, England to pursue screenwriting and acting in 2008.
