Born in New York City, Janu is an Actor, model, writer, and has been an artist since he first picked up a pencil at the tender age of 2. At that age it was a means of escape from a rough childhood. Struggles and hardships he faced in life, Janu believes, were a mind opening blessing in disguise. What he learned and was able to take from them, ignited his creative drive and transformed him into the actor he is today; dedicated, passionate, cooperative, full of life and always seeking growth. Though an Actor first and foremost, Janu also enjoys writing and performing poetry, dance, designing graphics, fashion, painting and drawing with a fondness for charcoal and chalk. Along side film and new media, Janu has also worked both as a performer and backstage with The Immigrants Theatre Company, portrayed Maximilian Von Heune in an off-Broadway rendition of Cabaret, helped bring to life Susan Lori Parks 365/365 with a terrific ensemble cast, poured his heart into his portrayal of John Arscott and Harry Brewer for classic play Our Country Is Good, has had the honor of performing as Officer Dempsey and Cousin Frankie Spano for Cynthia Von Buhler's Speakeasy Dollhouse and can be seen on various commercial spots for Anheuser-Busch, Vivo and more. He studied Theater and Communication at LaGuardia Community College, studying under the likes of award winning playwright David Rimmer, Film and Theater Directors and Producers John Henry Davis and Marcy Arlin, Actors Katrina Ganey and Will Koolsbergen, as well as vocal coach Lisa Hogan. Janu has also had the privilege to hone his craft under the ever brilliant Mauricio Bustamante of the Lee Strasberg Film and Theater Institute.
