Emma Louise Pursey is a critically acclaimed Melbourne-based actor, producer and teacher who has worked in theatre, film and television since 1997. After seeing an avant-garde theatre production of Oscar Wilde's Salome by Brisbane-based Frank Theatre repertory ensemble in 1997, she joined the company and quickly rose to become one of their core ensemble actors. This saw her tour a number of works, including Macbeth, Heavy Metal Hamlet, Hamlet Stooged and A Midsummer Night's Romeos to international theatre festivals over the next ten years. In particular, she was critically acclaimed for her roles as Lady Macbeth and the Medium in Rashomon. She was founder and co-director of comedic theatre ensemble, The Brides of Frank who also produced critically acclaimed work for over a decade. Emma's screen credits include: Project S.E.E.D., Winners & Losers, Underbelly Squizzy, and Neighbours. Her film credits include award winning shorts: The Sound of Love, Hide & Seek and Butterflies in Glass. Emma produced the short film, The Last Time I Saw You which won numerous national and international awards. Since 2016, Emma has taught her Suzuki-based Integrated Actor Training, in which she has over 20 years experience.
