Stephen Lestat was Born Stephen Harris Hanscom on June 22nd 1957 in Providence Rhode Island to entrepreneur and industrialist H.F Hanscom and Francis Wheaton Walker Hanscom, daughter to the architect William Russel Walker II. In 1988 his name changed legally from Stephen Harris Hanscom to Stephen Hanscom Lestat. He attended Barrington High School in Barrington Rohde Island from 1973 to 1976. He then attended The Winchendon School in Winchendon MA From 1976 to 1977, and Dean College 1977 1978. After dropping out of College He Raced Motocross competitively while continuing to work as an artist and writer. From 1990 to 1997 he lived the life of the nomad on the streets of Berkeley CA, writing, acting, and sculpting. In 2003 He chronicled his life on the streets in a loosely autobiographical book. He is best known for his work as an artist having won multiple awards for his 3D work with metal.
