Dave Victor MacMillan is an actor, singer, front man, film writer, photographer and public figure. In 1998 Dave formed the Ska/Punk rock band Scarred Hope, in 2003 Scarred Hope recorded the LP titled "Blue Collar Suicide" with legendary American punk rock producer Mass Giorgini. In 2005 MacMillan relocated from Australia to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam where he began to work as a security operations manager, Police photographer, close personal protection professional and in the intelligence field. In 2008 He started to appear in cameo roles and bit part roles in Vietnamese theater, live shows and motion pictures. In 2011 MacMillan moved to Los Angeles, California and began working in the reality television field with producer Scott Einbinder. He starred in "Bone Squad: The M.I.A. Hunter"; In 2016 he starred in "Hope For Dogs" a documentary that exposed the illegal dog meat trade in Vietnam and led to UNESCO declaring Hoi An in Central Vietnam as the first city to ban dog meat in Vietnam. In 2018 MacMillan was the subject of multiple documentaries and press articles in Cambodia and Vietnam. In 2019 MacMillan was featured on Thanh Nhien News in Vietnam for the Lunar New Year edition, and is a celebrated and famous Police Photographer in Vietnam. As of 2023 he lives on the Sunshine Coast, in Queensland, Australia.
