Austin Burnette Mitchell was born and raised in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. After singing and playing guitar in a rock band, he went to college to study mathematics and literature, during which time he wrote poetry and made his first short film "Life By the Pier." Having grown up a devoted lover of films, he moved to Los Angeles in 2013 and studied acting at Playhouse West Repertory Theatre for a year during which time he wrote and directed his second short, "Nobodies," and began work on his first feature film "Baphomet Mountain" co-directed and co-produced with friend Jeremy Reyes. Austin lives in Hollywood, CA and is writing and preparing his next independent feature.
