Born Alberto Ruiz Bojorquez in Tijuana, Mexico, and son to a doctor and a school teacher. Beto's passion for acting started early in high school, acting and directing several plays. He was cast in high school to perform in a Romeo & Juliet inspired stage project, produced by San Diego's The Old Globe Theater, which helped fuel his interest on acting. Shortly after, Beto continued to perform in theater productions and film, while simultaneously attending school. In spite of being aware of what his true passion was, he enrolled in Medical School and spent his next 4 years preparing to be a doctor, until he finally decided to drop out, in order to focus on his acting career. He moved to Los Angeles to study Acting for Film at the New York Film Academy. He has starred in films like "Sheikh Chilli and His Three Wives (a Monaco Film Festival selection 2013), "Amor Imposible" (LA Shorts Festival 2014), "With You" and other films. He has been present in the Hollywood Theater scene in plays like "Silent Night" and 2012 Hollywood Fringe Festival's award winning "Carpe Noctem". He appeared on LifeTime's "America's Most Wanted", "Milagros de Navidad" for Telemundo and on the new media series "Proxy: The Mortido", "Chicos de Alquiler" and "El Hogar es Donde Está La Casa", the popular live/Interactive series of telenovela sketches, produced by Super Deluxe. Beto is the host of "Universo Vice", a TV show produced by Vice Media for the U.S. Hispanic market, airing on Universo, a television network owned by NBCUniversal. His body of work also includes a long commercial resume, representing several of the biggest brands around the world on many of their TV and radio spots.
