Venezuelan born Avi Quijada is an independent writer/producer that has led several projects from feature films, documentaries, BTS and Home Video content, TV advertising, journalism, new media and web site development for companies such as HBO, Syfy/NBCUniversal, CBS, CTV, Global TV, TF1 and Big Light Productions, among others. She's functioned as the Editor-In-Chief for X-Files News since 2008, the only official news site for the FOX franchise. She's also principal for XFN Productions, an LA-Based Production company focused on the development of Science-Fiction and Fandom themed productions. She holds B.A. in Mass Communication from UCAB Caracas and an M.F.A. in Producing from the American Film Institute, where she functions as a lecturer and mentor to fellows of the conservatory.
