Allyson Diana wrote her first short story in the 8th Grade, An American Dream, depicting the story of her great grandfather who emigrated from England to America as a cabin boy on a ship. Later that same year she wrote her first play. Since that moment on, she yearned to put her own original plays on the stage. She studied writing with the Children's Institute of Literature for two years and has written business columns in area newspapers. She began as an actress in grade school, but took the profession more seriously as a high school student. She starred in the high school version of the critically acclaimed play, Runaways, in 10th grade as the leading role. She founded with her husband, Tony and friends an original community theater group, Downstairs Productions Co. which she performed, directed and produced hundreds of productions over 15 years. Her husband, Tony started directing his own movies beginning with Eternal Night, a vampire drama based on Allyson's scripts. Their daughter also premiered in this movie. Allyson has starred in Attack of the Atomic Zombies, TimeQuake, and Case #342 with her husband's production company, Butterfleye Films in 2011 and 2012. She resides with her husband in Connecticut and enjoys writing novels and working on her acting through a method called 'characters.'
