Antonio Paz-Bezerra

Antonio is a writer and a painter who moved to the United States in the late 80's. He has lived in Los Angeles, later in New York City, but now resides in Miami, Florida. He studied Film Directing and producing at the Hollywood Film Institute. In Brazil, Antonio attended Escola Nacional de Belas Artes/Fine Arts School and was trained by Sansão Pereira, one of the most respected Brazilian painters. Antonio also studied acting at Jaime Barcellos Acting School in Rio De Janeiro. His professional life took another turn when he received his doctorate in dentistry at UMAN in Mexico, and his post-doctorate at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. Despite the opportunities his profession offers, Antonio felt that art was still his primary passion and as a result, he has continued to been involved in several music/film productions. Antonio authored a book called "Genealogia dos Bezerra de Menezes" which is an exhaustive study of twenty-eight generations of his family. This body of work was published by Premius Editora (Brazil) in 2004. Antonio also co-authored 'Unbound' which is a novel based on a true story as well as a screenplay called 'Branca' based on the same Unbound novel. Antonio is developing several creative projects, including an animated film production called "Daisy" which is based on a children's book also written by him (to be published and released along with the film).
