Eric-Dominique Perez is a bilingual actor (English and Spanish) from Santurce, Puerto Rico. Only child of Hector Perez and Francoise Gilormini. Perez is of Corsican and Puerto Rican descent. Perez grew up between Brooklyn, New York and Puerto Rico. His initial actors training took place at the Raul Julia Training Unit Conservatory at the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater based in New York City where he trained in the rigorous Grotowski theater style, and was always active in many students productions. He also trained at the Atlantic Theatre Company in the Practical Aesthetics Method, and received a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Productions at Hunter College. Perez breakthrough came when he started performing his solo show El Gringuito in many off-off Broadway theaters in the Tri-State area, and Puerto Rico among his other solo show award winner Brave Lord. Other theatrical credits include Jala-la-Pala, Anna in the Tropics, 48 hours in the Bronx, among many others. Film credits include Crusade in Wonderland, Realidades, History of Modern Day Things, Castle Confidential, among many others. Perez is also a Spoken Word Poet, and is the Founder/Artistic Director of the Performing Arts organization Dead Jibaros Productions.
