"Michel Vorm was born on 20th October 1983 in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Formerly with Utrecht and Den Bosch football clubs in the Netherlands, Vorm joined, then Premier League side, Swansea in August, 2011. He firmly established himself as first choice in their debut season in the Premier League and picked up Supporters' Player, Players' Player and the Away 'Player of the Year' accolades at the club's end-of-season awards. In total, he made 97 appearances for Swansea and was also part of the Netherlands' FIFA World Cup squad that reached the semi-finals, and eventually finished third, in Brazil in the summer of 2014. He joined Tottenham Hotspur from Swansea City in July, 2014. The 2014/15 season was his first at Spurs and when Hugo Lloris picked up an injury against Leicester City in March, 2015, Michel went on to start their next three Premier League matches. He played 14 times that season in total, including five matches in the run to the League Cup Final. The goalkeeper started the team's first match of the 2015/16 season away at Manchester United and went on to make seven appearances throughout the rest of that campaign - the latter six all coming in the cup competitions. On the opening day of the 2016/17 season, Vorm took the place of Hugo Lloris as the first-choice goalkeeper after the Frenchman suffered a hamstring injury. A knee problem kept Vorm out for a few weeks in April, 2017, but he returned before the end of the campaign and finished that season with 11 appearances to his name in all competitions. Vorm made one Premier League appearance in 2017/18 and was a regular face in the cup competitions, playing all seven games in Tottenham's run to the FA Cup semi-finals, twice in the League Cup and once in the UEFA Champions League - his appearance in a 3-0 home win over APOEL representing his debut in the latter competition. Vorm also took on responsibilities as team captain five times throughout that campaign. The 2018/19 season saw Michel make four appearances for Tottenham Hotspur, including two in the group stage of a UEFA Champions League campaign. He subsequently departed following the conclusion of his contract in June, 2019, but re-joined for a second spell at the north London club in October, 2019."
