Natalie Melaine Sharp was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She considers herself a true Louisiana native that loves all the music, food, culture, and hospitality that Louisiana has to offer. Natalie loves to jitterbug to some good ole swamp pop music that is central to Louisiana. She even has a southern twang when she talks. At a very young age, Natalie would entertain her parents with impressions of very famous singers. She would also reenact commercials that were on TV. One artist that she seemed particularly fond of was Elvis Presley. Natalie's parents could never understand where she got her very strong love for him. They said they didn't listen to him that much and didn't know where the exposure came from. She has a very large collection of Elvis memorabilia that she refers to as her prized possessions. Natalie is no stranger to the stage or public eye. When she was a baby, her mother put her in pageants. She took a break for many years and then when she was 8 she started singing in pageants. She won many titles including a few national titles. At 13 years young she was asked to join a country band (Silverado). She was only in the band for a short amount of time due to her young age and school. In high school, she was in drama for four years where she had many leading roles. She did some modeling for Dillard's and Fenn's formal wear. She even had a poem that she wrote for one of her teachers published in the southeast newspaper. After graduating, Natalie attended Louisiana State University where she earned her degree in psychology. She intended on getting her Ph. D but the movie business picked up tremendously in Louisiana and she couldn't stay away from acting. Sharp says "Had I known the movie business would be this big in Louisiana, I would have went to school for theater. Who would have ever guessed?" She has been in many movies as an extra and also had some featured extra roles and stand in jobs. She decided to take some acting classes and get back into acting and singing. She recently had her first role in the upcoming feature film "Rugaru." It is a small role but very intense and includes a lot of action for a first role.
