A South African born director who is based in Dubai working on a slate of international films. Having gained a high school education from the Pretoria School for Art, Ballet, Music and Drama with no formal training in film making he wrote, produced and directed his first short film at the age of 38 titled, "Burn". He spent the next few years writing, producing and directing various short films with film makers in Cape Town while working as a waiter in a restaurant. "The Last Bullet" getting nominated for best short film at the Cape Town International Film Festival. Leaving the restaurant industry behind to pursue his dream of making films he spent two years trying to break into the film industry in South Africa. In debt and with no break through he turned his sights towards Dubai and landed a position as a producer. Working for one year with the company he decided to become a freelancer. In 2016 he started the script for Louder and attached the first two actors but wasn't able to finish the script. At the beginning of 2018, inspired by the love of his girlfriend and a renewed determination to be a filmmaker he finished the script and began putting together his team for Louder. Without any funding or budget and despite being financially insecure and in debt, he forged ahead to get Louder off the ground and produced. With the film in post production he has his eyes set on India for his second feature film with a third and fourth planned for London and New York.
