Lina Maya

Lina Maya is a Colombian-American Actress who lives in New York and Atlanta. She has been the lead in "Kitty Kills" a feature film available on Amazon Prime, and has played supporting roles in SINthetic, a drama on human trafficking, and in the still-in-production feature film, "The Empty Walls." In addition, Lina has been cast in roles in 5 soap operas on NBC Telemundo, Univision, and Venevision, and has also been featured in several Spanish independent films. Lina was born in Medellin, Colombia, attended Catholic school, and found passion for the arts at a very young age. Her drawings and painting were often part of expositions around the city and she participated in various singing contests representing her school, finishing in the top of several competitions. At the age of fourteen, Lina moved to Tampa, Florida, learned English, and ultimately graduated with a Bachelors in the Science of Journalism and Mass Communications from Florida International University in Miami. After graduating from FIU, Lina found in acting to be her real passion, and launched her career in Miami by auditioning for roles in theater and Spanish soap operas.
