Alison Mattingly is a writer/director known for her short films, The Thin Place (2016), Admonition (2017), and They Are Not Human (2022). She is originally from Tennessee, where she graduated from Watkins College of Art, Design & Film and received her BFA. While attending Watkins, she wrote, directed and produced four short films, Fortress of Darkness (2013), Lodger on the 2nd Floor (2013), and her award winning historical dramas, The Window East (2014) and Moscow Station (2015), which played at film festivals in both the US and Canada. After graduation, Alison moved to Los Angeles, California and shifted her focus back to her favorite genre, horror. Her short films, The Thin Place (2016) and Admonition (2017) played at festivals worldwide and garnered multiple awards and nominations.
