Glenda ToniSteelz Martinez is no stranger to the stage; at the age of nine, her first solo performance was before a sold-out audience at Brooklyn College in which she received a standing ovation and she has not left the stage since. Presently, ToniSteelz is a 2019 Grammy-considered, multi-award-winning recording artist and actress hailing from Brooklyn, NY. ToniSteelz has performed in some of New York City's most famous venues including Madison Square Garden, SOBs, BB King's and The Jacob Javits Center. She has opened for major recording artists such as Faith Evans, Naughty by Nature, Ice T, Brian McNight, Maxi Priest & Deborah Cox. The year 2019 granted ToniSteelz a Grammy consideration for "Best Rap Record" for her song "Welcome to My Hood." This will be her first of many nominations as she takes the hip-hop game to higher levels with her lyrical abilities while honing in on her multiple talents as an actress, producer, expert voice over & Director talent. ToniSteelz released an EP, "Bogies, Thotties and Blunts," featuring her single, "What They Need" and Grammy considered record "Welcome To My Hood" which has already garnered over 55, 175 streams on Spotify since August 2020. ToniSteelz has been in the lab working on new music that is set to release Fall 2020. Not only is ToniSteelz affluent in music she excels in media as well. ToniSteelz has worked as a media correspondent and a co-host of "Video Music Box" alongside the legendary Ralph McDaniels who founded the show in 1983. She has appeared in East Brooklyn with Tee Smif and has had the pleasure of interviewing public figures such as Talib Kweli and many more...ToniSteelz has had the opportunity to perform for the TCS New York City Marathon (Tata Consultancy Services, a leading I.T. firm who is dedicated to creating the most technologically advanced race yet) with the help of Urban Aduct Radio Station 107.5 WBLS which airs in the New York Metropolitan Area in 2016 and 2019. The girl does it all. Currently starring in two new films "Traffic Lane" where ToniSteelz plays a corrupt traffic cop, The Needs 2 a film about mental health where she plays the Vice Principal and D.N.A a series of Love, Family & Truth. Self-persevering is a way of life that ToniSteelz understands and lives every day. She is creating a community podcast in Brooklyn, NY called, "4 Da Streetz," a series that hosts relevant young men and women speaking about what is going on in the communities today, providing solutions for the environment in which they live to help others become better citizens of their community. Along with the podcast, ToniSteelz has started a fashion line The ToniSteelz Collection which includes several hip-hop inspired men and women's attire, carrying t-shirts to tanks and hats to hoodies.
