Lisa Franklin Wall

"Trial by fire" could well describe Lisa Franklin's life. As a young mother of two small children (ages one and two), Lisa and her family were transferred to Belgium due to her husband's occupation in the pharmaceutical industry. The simplest chores (grocery shopping, asking for directions, meeting new neighbors, etc.) were nearly impossible to accomplish. Frustrated, Lisa joined the American Women's Club of Brussels and met lots of other women struggling with the same issues, which led to her eventual development of a successful "Big Sister" program for new expatriates. While living abroad, Lisa experienced the joys of learning of new lands and cultures, most notably Tenerife in the Canary Islands, and Egypt. In January 2003, the family returned to the States. Around this time, Lisa was inspired to become a nurse. Her compassionate nature made it a great fit, and she would practice in that field for a few years. While she loved her work, it was exhausting and difficult to continue with two children at home and a husband who traveled frequently on business, and Lisa decided to become a "stay-at-home" mom. Lisa would often watch actors on the big screen and think, "I think I can do that." Fate came calling when her husband volunteered her for a lead role in an industrial health care video after its lead actress bowed out. Turns out, she was a natural: the casting director of the short video was so impressed with her talent and her natural ability in front of the camera that she offered to connect Lisa with other industry insiders. Before long, Lisa's resume began to flourish with film, TV, stage, commercial and voice-over gigs, and, thanks in large measure to her dedication and determination to learn from the absolute best in the field, she has studied the Stanislavsky method from former Broadway actor Sandra Dorsey, and is currently studying the Meisner technique with acting coach Robert Mello as well as actor/coach Kristen Shaw. Her special skills include her vast knowledge in medical terminology, horseback riding, and hand gun training. Whether learning a new language, starting over in an unrelated field, or the most rewarding 'trials by fire' (raising her children), Lisa tackles any role with diligence and conviction.
