American actor Ryan Michaels was born on March 10, 1983 in Palos heights, IL. Ryan was brought up in the mid-west until he was 15 to where he was then relocated to Lake Havasu City, AZ. He has been carefully balancing his acting and military careers for the past 6 years. After being cast as the hero, Mathew Evans, in the science fiction/action film, Time Warrior, and an ever-growing number of other roles on Television, Film and Commercials, Michaels left his active duty status and transitioned into the reserves out of Las Vegas, NV. Ryan's father, Robert Michaels, a real-estate agent and his mother Pamela Michaels (Milligan) is a registered nurse. He is a brother to Jarrett, actor Adam Michaels, Sean, and Brent. He is of Irish and German decent. Ryan first showed an interest in performing at an early age when he sang the National Anthem for 100 plus attendees at a public event, no easy task for a seven year old. It was then that his parents began enrolling him in school musicals and plays. In high school he was immediately accepted into advanced theater where he began his studies. His drama teacher cited his performance as Greg in "Flying" as exemplary of his skill. Ryan spent his late teens preparing to attend Julliard's in New York City when duty abruptly called. After the terrorist attacks on 9/11, he felt it was his obligation to contribute to the United States of America and serve his country within the Air Force as a Security Forces member, which he joined right out of high school. Ryan's duration of his active duty career lasted from 2002 to 2014 and had taken him all around the globe to include duty assignments in Wyoming, Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, Nevada and combat tours in the middle east. It was during his enlistment, he gained a deep passion for the gym and staying physically fit. Returning to acting work secretly in 2008, Michaels began seeking representation within the Vegas Valley and set out to reestablish his dream of one day becoming a working actor. After starring in a number of mostly unknown indie films, Michaels found success on CSI: Las Vegas with a small role as Officer Cornick, which aired in 2009. During the next 5 years, Michaels worked constantly in film and television. Eventually the military did catch on to what he was up to (due to being seen on T.V. by his fellow peers), and to his surprise, supported him every step of the way. Ryan's breakthrough role was being cast as Matthew Evans in "Time Warrior" which had a short stint in theaters across the US and a few select countries abroad. When not out filming on location, Ryan resides in Las Vegas with his wife Ashley and daughter Paige.
