Diana Stefanescu was born in Iasi, Romania in 1984. Inspired to be an artist from a very early age, Diana's grandparents were noted writers in her native country. Her grandfather, Boris Craciun, is a famous writer and television-radio correspondent. Her grandmother, Aurora Craciun, is a noted literary teacher and university director. Diana has inherited many of their qualities and passion for the arts. From age of 10 to 14 years old, Diana played in the Romanian theatrical troupe ' Stele Colorate' as "Red Riding Hood", "Snow White", "Sleeping Beauty" and other theatrical lead roles. She attended the G. Ibraileanu High School from 2000-2004 where she studied Humanities to enrich her profound understanding of the human condition. Every experience was meant to be appreciated. Graduating Journalism led to becoming a leading broadcaster and editor at Antena 1 Ploiesti where she became a national celebrity in her native country of Romania. In 2010, Diana graduated from SDDT, the Romanian School of Television, where she was instructed by some of the country's top leader in that field such as Teo Tandafir (television entertainment), Sandra Stoicescu (journalism), Carmen Ivanov (speech technique), Vlad Ionescu (technical presentation of news and sports), Mihaela Calin (television presentation), Ferenc Vasas (writing technique and information), and Bogdan Ionescu (foundation of video editing and personal markets skills). Diana began her acting career in 2011 in the film "Statue Collector", in the lead role of "Melissa". She was chosen out of a casting call of hundreds who auditioned for the role. During the fall of 2010, Diana attended three semesters at the Danish Academy of Film and Acting to improve her acting technique. The producer was so impressed with her acting abilities that he cast her in yet another role for the film "The Edge of Shadow" filmed in Copenhagen. In late 2011, Diana visited her parents in Montreal, Canada where she decided to pursue improving her English and french language skills. Diana is already fluent in many languages which she deems essential for communicating your art to the masses in all mediums. In more recent years, Diana has completed programs at NYFA, Danish Film School and Concordia in screenwriting and directing. She has written and directed films such as "R'evol'ution", "Be(you)tiful", 'Nihil Sine Deo', "Im(perfect)ion", "Shake the Dust", "Tinerete, Dulce Batranete...", 'Dancing with the Deaf", etc. She is currently working on "Satan's God" and "Phonix - I can die now". Her varied interests include film history ("I can spend the entire day just watching films, morning to night"), painting, aviation (she is an accredited flight attendant), chess, sports, yoga, meditation, vegetarian cuisine, piano, Buddhism and the protection of wildlife having her as a sponsor for an animal shelter in Romania. She is connected to nature on a very organic level as she puts it. Her many conservationist activities include volunteering for the Marine Seaquarium,in Miami where she displayed her passionate love of dolphins, working in promoting awareness of their endangered species status. Diana seeks to live life beyond expectations and learn from every waking moment. "I love life where life is worth loving..."
