Heather is an award-winning writer, producer, and director. She is a producer for the documentary The River, a film about homelessness in Aberdeen, Washington. She is a 2019 Fellow in the Green Room Screenwriting Program as part of the Bigfoot Script Challenge. And she recently wrote and directed the short film Haunted Wharf: Ethel and the Merman which screened at the Seattle Transmedia and Independent Film Festival in 2019. Heather was an associate producer for the documentary Gold Balls, which profiles tennis players over the age of 80 as they compete for the US national championship. Gold Balls premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival in 2016 and has since screened at 16 festivals in the US and abroad. She also wrote and directed the short film Date Stories, which was selected for the Northwest Film Forum's 2014 Local Sightings Film Festival, and the Harrisburg-Hershey and Columbia Gorge Film Festivals in 2016. She was a producer for the short film Pearl, which won Best Short Film at the Mexico, Madrid, and Milan Film Festivals in 2015, and Best Drama at the Seattle Transmedia and Independent Film Festival in 2016. Screenwriting credits include the teleplay Crack the Whip, and feature screenplays 38 Minutes, Dodgers and Birth. She also produced the short Wyatt Steps Out, selected for the Northwest Film Forum's 2013 Local Sightings Film Festival, as well as the shorts Mooo and Convicted, both selected for the Seattle Transmedia and Independent Film Festival in 2014.
