Leonid Andronov is a writer-director, with advertising and theatrical background, living in Los Angeles, California. In 2007 Leonid won the 1st Prize of Eurasia International Dramatist contest with his play Karma of Success. The play was staged in theaters in Russia and Ukraine. Shortly after, Leonid shot his first feature, the first Russian Independent rock'n'roll drama, 29 kilometr (2012), portraying the hazards of young friendships and dreams of stardom, based on his own experience in the music band. The movie had limited theatrical release. In 2012 Leonid moved to Los Angeles where he earned his second degree in Filmmaking. He started working at Adore Creative Agency writing copy for FIFA World Cup and XXII Winter Olympic promo films. In his personal body of work, Leonid showcases screenplays raging from comedy to epic fantasy. Their distinctive feature - his personal interpretation of the subject, as opposed to traditional genre design, is preserved and celebrated. Leonid has directed a futuristic La Jetee and Inception-inspired short film Emerald Dream (2012), and an eccentric comedy Golden Key (2013) . Leonid also produced several short films in LA. Stepping Out (2013), directed by Nataliya Padilla, and The Rat (2015), directed by Vasily Chuprina won numerous awards in the independent festival circle.
