Born Gertrude Margaret "Pat" Waldo on the 10th February 1911 in Brooklyn New York to Lewis Howell Waldo and Gertrude Duffield. She died on the 26th May 2007 in New York at the age of 96 years. In 1932 she married Francis (Frank) Edwin Remick with whom she had two children, a son, Bruce and a daughter, film, stage and television star Lee Remick.
