Fatimah Bey is a SAG-AFTRA actor, costume designer, and executive producer. At the early age of seven, Fatimah started designing and creating original pieces. She lovingly attributes her gift to both her grandmother and great-grandmother, as they were the first to inspire her. She first attended art school at American Intercontinental University in Atlanta, GA and then The Art Institute in Dallas, TX. Her fashion-designing abilities afforded her the ability to travel all over the globe, sharing her creations with many. She traveled to Europe and held her first fashion show in London, England. While in Europe, she visited Paris, where she came across incredible displays of raw silk in every color imaginable. These new fabric discoveries lead her to explore her individuality and identity. Europe gave Fatimah the freedom to step outside of the box and fully embrace her creativity. For the first time, she gave herself permission to truly explore. In 2017, Fatimah had the pleasure of participating as a designer in "Rubbish to Runway", a fashion show sponsored by the "Long Way Home" organization. This opportunity turned her on to a new area of design; incorporating reusable goods within her couture. After settling in Southern California, her next pursuit was wardrobe styling on film and television sets in Hollywood, CA. She became a costumer on a television show, which is where she introduced her children to the entertainment industry. Fatimah, her husband, and their ten children are a true Hollywood anomaly, comprised of eleven full-time working actors with SAG-AFTRA affiliations. As a collective, the family has starred in numerous commercials, television series, and motion pictures. In 2018, Raoul and Fatimah expanded and built their production company "A Urban Morgan Production, Inc" with the thought that Black stories are best authenticated by Black lives. Fatimah is the true definition of strength, perseverance, and success, balancing the production company and her family with absolute precision.
