Graduated at Buenos Aires University, UBA, School of Communications Science, Crespo has been a resident in Paraguay since 1995, and has implemented a sort of eclectic professional activity in different areas of communication and marketing. He performed as accounts director in BP/Ogilvy & Mather, and at BP/McCann Erickson, Marketing Manager at AJ Vierci, and at Parmalat Paraguay. As of 2001, Crespo devotes all his time to photography for publicity, fashion, and journalism. As photographer, he has launched campaigns for the main commercial brands and publicity agencies in the local market, whereas in the editorial field, he has submitted his work with magazines like TeVeo, Chic, Phot Art International (France) , and Wild Magazine, among others. As for the editorial field, he gathered experience as EFE correspondent in 2004. In 2009, Crespo organized the Godard Cinematographic Cycle at Planta Alta in Asuncion. Since 2005, Crespo starts experimenting in the audiovisual field with experimental films like Yukata, Opaco, Evasion, etc. Yukata was chosen to participate in the Clermont-Ferrand 2008 International Festival (LABO Section) . This festival is the world's most important in the category of short films, while Opaco is chosen to participate in the Madrid Experimental Cinematographic Week in 2007 and the Ottawa Latin American Film Festival in 2008. His video clips Nostalgia and Tango in 50mm were acquired and aired by QOOB TV, which is a digital channel wholly owned by MTV Italy. Nostalgia also obtained an Honorable Mention in the French-German Videoarte Contest in Asuncion, Paraguay. Martin Crespo has also directed several TV commercials for many popular Paraguayan commercial brands. Among them, Interbanco "Suman" obtained the "2007 Golden Bell Award" for the best television ad; while the brand Palermo "RGB" obtained the Tatakua Prize for the best directed audiovisual in 2008 also in Paraguay. Crespo directed in 2009 part of a collective full movie which was made among five directors. He was also director of photography of the short film "El Ropero" (2010), and the movie "I, A Woman Alone" in 2010. As photographer, Crespo had three individual exhibitions in Asuncion. One in the Manzana de la Rivera called "Retrospection", in 2001; "Self-Portrait" at the Paraguayan-American Bi-national Cultural Center in 2004, and "Talking About Asuncion" at Paraguay's National Cultural Center, and Planta Alta (a private cultural center) in 2009. Martin has also participated of dozens of collective exhibitions in different countries. He has also won awards in contests such as "Paraguay in Person" (Paraguay 2003), and "MERCOSUR for Citizens" (Montevideo, Uruguay, in 2005). Crespo was also a finalist at the Ibero American Communications Awards for Children and Adolescent's Rights in 2203.
