At the 2015 Austin Film Festival, Needles was selected for both Top 10 Scripts for Science Fiction and Top 10 Scripts for Horror from 8,627 scripts by Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption, The Walking Dead). Mr. Bierman's first script, Impact was a 2013 PAGE Awards top 25 script Semi-finalist. Two of his scripts have made it to the PAGE Awards Semi-finalist (Top 25 Scripts) level. A third was a PAGE Quarter-finalist. He has completed over 15 original features, including: The Fad, a multi-award winning dystopian Science fiction script, was a PAGE Awards Semi-finalist Top 25 Script. It also won 2nd Place at the 6th StoryPros Awards, 4th Place at Beverly Hills, 4th Place at ScreenCraft and was an Honorable Mention at London Film Awards. All That Glitters, a revenge drama set in Northern Ireland, employs authentic Irish slang, idiom and speech patterns, as well as Ulster Gaelic. It took 4th Place at London Film Awards, and has been a Finalist in at least four other competitions. Rust is a dark detective horror film and a Page QF, among others. Coffins & Chrysanthemums, a dark comedy-romance was recently completed. The aforementioned Needles is a contained allegorical diabolical thriller. Fifty-two Hues of Chartreuse is a wickedly funny and sexy parody of Fifty Shades of Grey. A Scream for Freedom is a globe-trotting adventure based on the true story of an Iraqi Kurdish refugee, now a medical doctor in the US. The Grocer is a contained horror thriller with a single location. It won 3rd Place at London, and has numerous Finalist finishes. He co-authored a ninth feature, Cachaça, and rewrote a tenth feature for a CAA/Untitled packaged project in development. He script-doctored an eleventh feature. He is at work on his twelfth feature, A Life of Dogs, and completed his thirteenth feature, Jesus Came from Mississippi co-written with best-selling author James Kostelniuk.
